Deborah Ann Nicolet Notice
Nicolet, Deborah Ann Deborah Nicolet (nee Riewe ) of Milwaukee was called to Eternal Life to be with her Savior after many years of struggling with pulmonary hypertension disease, heart disease and breast cancer. She was born on September 23, 1953, and left this world on May 31, 2014. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Kent Nicolet, cousin and friend to Pamela and Tim Woodford of Eau Claire, dear friend of Diane Domrois, and the Eckhart family. Deborah was preceded in death by her father Herman J. Riewe. Deborah was blessed with many friends, family and extended family that she knew and loved throughout her life. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1971 and received a degree in Management and Communication from Concordia University in 1991. Deborah retired in 2012, after working more than 40 years for Marshall & Ilsley Bank/M&I Data Services/Metavante/FIS. Deborah had a love for animals and nature. She volunteered with the Wisconsin Humane Society and proudly raised three dogs, referring to them as her four-legged children. Her true calling was to serve her Lord and Savior. Deborah served as a Deacon at First Lutheran Church in West Allis and was actively involved in the ministries of the Church. She loved gardening and traveling with her husband Kent to their condo in Naples, FL., where she was an avid bird watcher. She will be missed by many; but is now happily at home with her Savior. A memorial gathering will be held at First Lutheran Church of West Allis, 7400 W. Lapham Street on June 5 from 5-7 PM, with a memorial service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be given to the Wisconsin Humane Society or First Lutheran Church of West Allis.
