Broussard, Frederick "Fred" Passed away peacefully on July 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Mary. He is further survived by his daughters Donna, Cecilia, and Michelle, other relatives and friends. Originally from Massachusetts. Fred was in sales but wanted to follow his grandfathers tradition of working in the fish industry, so he worked at Empire Fish Company in Milwaukee and sold the finest quality fish and seafood to restaurants demanding the best. Fred was a WWII Army Veteran and while being a Sergent he became wounded while participating in combat action in Bardenberg, Germany. After being a prisoner of war he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal of Honor by the 30th Infantry Division on 120 Reg. A. CO. on October 9, 1944. Fred was very active in the American Ex-Prisoners of War Barb Wire Chapter, the American Legion Lakeshore Post 474 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Henry J. Schafer Post. Funeral arrangements were made by Hartson Funeral Home. A full military honors funeral service conducted by American Legion Lakeshore Post 474 and a celebration of Fred's life were previously held.
