James Russell Wartinbee Sr. Notice
Wartinbee, James Russell, Sr. 80, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, died on Monday, April 28, 2014. He was born in La Crosse, WI. on August 15, 1933, to D. Russell and Helen (Rawlinson) Wartinbee. He married Mary Ann Maier of La Crosse. They were married 63 years. Jim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and worked many years in the accounting, brewing, and banking industries in the Milwaukee area. He was a very active member of the Episcopal Cathedral Church of All Saints in Milwaukee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; three sons: James Jr. (Mary Barbara) Wartinbee, Dr. Daniel R. (Betty) Wartinbee, and Steven (Karen) Wartinbee. He was the very proud Bumpa to 1st Lieutenant Timothy (Jenny) Wartinbee, Michael (friend Jenaille) Wartinbee, Marie (Jacob) Junkman, Dr. Daniel A. (Anna) Wartinbee, Emily (Ty) Landers, and Jared Wartinbee. He was also a loving Great-Bumpa to James and Madeline Junkman, and Daniel Wartinbee Jr. He will be greatly missed by his brother, John (Jack) Wartinbee, and three sisters, Jean (John) Bruemmer, Ann (James) Reeve, and Lois (Gary) Stuhr. Preceding him in death are his parents, his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Margery (Morton) Wartinbee, his sister, Ellen Wartinbee, and his sister-in-law, Cecilia (Beitz) Wartinbee. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, at Christ Episcopal Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Rev. Patrick Augustine will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of the service. Memorials may be given to Christ Episcopal Church in La Crosse, Episcopal Cathedral Church of All Saints in Milwaukee, WI., the , or Katy's Kloset in Waukesha, WI. A memorial service will also be held in Milwaukee, WI. at All Saints Cathedral, 818 E. Juneau, at 11:00 on Saturday, May 10.
