Abelt, John F. John Abelt died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, after a brief illness. Born July 2, 1920, in Milwaukee, beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Rueth) of 51 years who preceded him in death. Father of Janet Olson, Nancy Randolph and Chris Abelt. Grandfather to Chris, Amanda, Allison, Elliott, Katie and John. Great-grandfather to Aaron, Harper, Elliott, Charles and Phoebe. Graduated from Yale University in 1943, served his country in the Army Corps of Engineers during WW II. Worked in sales and marketing for Rex Chain Belt, First Wisconsin Bank, Link-Belt and others. An avid golfer and member of the League of Women Voters and Great Decisions. Remembrance celebration to be held on Saturday, June 18, at Glengary House (7325 N Port Washington), from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
