Michael A. Wisniewski Notice
Wisniewski, Michael A. February 1, 2013, one month shy of his 92nd birthday, Mickey joined his "good wife" Ann, who departed for the kingdom one year ago after 65 years of marriage. He was also greeted by their dear son John. Devoted father of the late John (Kathie) Wisniewski, Mary (Paul) Zelazek, Karen (Peter) Lentz, Anne Marie (Mark) Krolikowski, Gloria (Kevin) Lyons, LaVerne (Richard) Kaiser, and Lori (Tom) Saskowski. Proud grandfather of Michael, Katie, Jill, Mark, Jeffrey, Kelly, Dana, Julie, Lisa, Maxwell, Annie, Lindsey, Abbey, Hannah, Molly, and Emma. Great-grandfather of Ellie, Madison, Hartleigh, Alexis, Sotera, Maddox, Brenna, Alexander, Michaela, Lillian, Giovanna, and Francesca. Brother of Jean (the late Harry) Beaudry, Carl (the late Dorothy), and Christine (the late Wally) Luck. Brother-in-law of Gloria (the late Wally) Fedenia. Preceded in death by siblings Ted (the late Betty), Rich (Ann), Joan (the late Bill) Zahn, and Pat (the late Joe) Waletzko. Mickey was awarded the Purple Heart in service with the 1st Marine Division in WWII. He was a machinist for the Rex Companies for over 45 years. Mickey enjoyed polkas, kishka, bluegills, golf and the nickel slots. He was a voracious reader and well-informed citizen. A true exemplar of the "Greatest Generation," he lived a good life as a steadfast, caring, and very wise mentor to his children. Mickey and Ann sacrificed to make the best life possible for their children. Their children recognize their parents as the prime reason for their success and happiness. Special thanks to Anne Marie, LaVerne, and Lori for their devotion in caring for Dad since Mom's passing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at St. Florian's Church, 1233 S. 45th St., from 9 AM until time of mass at 11 AM. Interment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
