Patricia Jane "PJ" Amundson Notice
Amundson, Patricia Jane "PJ" (Nee Ryan ) Of Elm Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the age of 89. Beloved wife for 61 years of Don. Survived by sons Todd (Debbie) and Timm (Sara); granddaughters Courtney and Ainsley; step-grandchildren Danessa and Mathew; and great-grandchildren Oscar and Aaliyah. PJ graduated from Wawatosa High School in 1943, and enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall of 1944, where she met and fell in love with her future husband Don. PJ and Don were married in September 1947. A loving wife and mother, a loyal friend, a devoted patriot, and above all, a devout Christian, PJ relied on her relationship with The Lord to guide all of her actions and decisions throughout her life. As a proud American, she worked tirelessly for patriotic causes deeply rooted in Constitutional principles and tradition. She was also an active participant in the local community as a member of the Elm Grove Women's Club and a willing volunteer for many charitable projects in and around the Milwaukee area. Visitation will be held at the Chapel of the Congregational Home (13900 W. Burleigh Rd., Brookfield), on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 2PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3PM. Inurnment Valhalla Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in her name to the . The family would like to extend special thanks to the incredible staff at The Congregational Home, who were indeed PJ's family for nearly ten years.
