Harpt, Ralph E. Long-time resident of Wauwatosa. Age 96. Born to Eternal Life, Friday, July 4, 2014. Beloved husband for 68 years of Jolene (nee Banker). Dear father of Thomas (Debora) Harpt, Sandra (Douglas) Mann and Mary Banker Harpt. Loving grandfather of Nicole Harpt, Danielle Harpt, Stephanie Harpt; Andrew (Lisa) Mann, Thomas Mann and Charles (fiancée Amy) Mann; Trina Schaetz, Jessica (Vincent) Noth and William (Erika) Conner and 5 great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Brooke, Ivy and Willow. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Sophie; and his brothers, Earl, Norman and Loren Harpt. Visitation Saturday, July 12, from 1:00PM until 2:45PM with a Memorial Service at 3:00PM, at MOUNT CARMEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8424 W. Center Street, Milwaukee. Private interment Wisconsin Memorial Park. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the field of chemistry, Ralph began a rewarding career in chemical research and the paint and coatings industry. He was a lifetime member of the American Chemical Society. He was an environmentalist who celebrated life, valued and respected the world around him, and faithfully loved and served his God who made it. Ralph deeply loved his wife, his family and his church. The family extends a special thanks to the dedicated staff at Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mount Carmel Endowment Fund or the Bad River Indian Youth Group/P.O. Box 39, 72682 Maple Street, Odanah, WI 54861 appreciated.
