Notice Condolences

Richard J. D'Acquisto Notice
D'Acquisto, Richard J. Much loved father Richard "Dick" D'Acquisto was reunited with his dearly missed wife Carolyn and beloved daughter RoseAnn on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Richard is survived by his loving children Domonic, Nora (Mark) Jendrzejek, LoriAnn and "adoptive" daughter Karen. Proud grandfather of Melissa (Scott), Justin and Kahlil; and great grandfather of Pearl and Gus. Dear brother of Anthony D'Acquisto (the late Kathy). Preceded in death by his brothers and sisters-in-law Thomas (Elsie), Mario (Mary), Thomas Jr. (Grace) and Joseph. Also survived by caring nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation FRIDAY, June 13, 2014, from 9:30-11:00 AM at MOTHER OF GOOD COUNSEL PARISH, 6924 W. Lisbon Ave Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment to follow Holy Cross Cemetery. Richard served honorably with the 11th Airborne Division in WWII and was extremely proud to call himself an American. His life was dedicated to family and the family produce business. He was a hardworking man, and after retirement was an avid builder of birdhouses, bird feeders, cat scratching posts and step stools for his grandkids. He was generous to a fault and always ended conversations with, "I love you. Need some scratch?" Richard was known for his charm and humor, complaining in restaurants about the hole in his beer mug or warning grocery clerks, "Careful, the ink is still wet on those bills." Special thanks to friends and staff at Layton Terrace for their loving care. "And away we go!"
