Genskow, Roy Donald Roy Donald Genskow, 86, passed away February 5, 2013 in Eau Claire, WI. Born July 30, 1926, Oshkosh, WI to Harvey and Marie (Kuenne) Genskow, Roy graduated from Shorewood High School in 1944. After service with the 24th Infantry Division during
, Roy graduated from Iowa State University, and married Helen Nauman in 1950. Following teaching and farming, he earned an MS and PhD with academic honors. Roy served on the
University of Illinois
faculty before returning to Shorewood Wisconsin to teach Biology and Chemistry until retirement in 1991. He was active in the Shorewood Men's Club. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dean and Jack. He is survived by his wife Helen, his sister Marion (Mike) Griswold, his sister-in-law Lillian Genskow, and children Ruth (Dave) Talcott, John (Deborah), Sue (Steve) Mayer, 6 grand children, 2 great- grand children. Memorial service observed 11 AM Friday, February 15, 2013, visitation an hour prior at First Congregational UCC, 310 Broadway Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Burial at the Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee at a future date. Condolences gratefully received at
