Frederick H. Fraker Frederick H. Fraker, "Fred", "Harold", age 77, peacefully Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his residence, following a courageous battle with congestive heart failure, with his family by his side. Born in Clinton, Anderson County, Tennessee, and a lifelong resident of Channahon. A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, serving in Germany as a gunner on a mortar squad. Retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after over 43 years of service as a welder. A member of the International Association of Aerospace and Mechanist Union Lodge #851. A member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #300. Frederick's greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and friends. He could always be found sitting in the yard, under a shade tree, drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon taking it day by day. Preceded by his wife, Martha (nee Lawson) Fraker (1999); and his parents. Survived by one son, Scott (Heidi) Fraker of Minooka; three daughters, Dawn (Ken) Shetina of Coal City, Kimberly (fiance Eric Vershay) Kelly of Morris, IL and Amy Fraker of Channahon, IL; ten grandchildren, Devin and Morganne, Kenny, Brennen and Danielle, Alyson, Nathan and Jaclyn, Christian and Drew; one great-grandson, Caleb; one sister, Barbara (Sam) Konjevich of Rushville, IL; many nieces, nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Frederick H. Fraker will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black and Essington Rds., Joliet with Marguerite Kronberger officiating. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
