Lawrence D. Paraday

Lawrence D. Paraday, "Larry", of Lockport, peacefully on March 27, 2014. Born in Chicago, lifelong Chicago area resident.

A U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Retired from Local Teamsters Union # 710 after many years of service. He was a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a dear friend to many.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Paraday (2000); parents, Clinton and Lucille Paraday; three brothers; and a step-grandson, Robert Fitzsimons.

Survived by two devoted children, Danielle (Robert) Keska and Lawrence (Kerrie, fianc?) Paraday; four grandchildren, Brendan, Thomas and Norah Keska and Anthony Banez; brothers and sisters, Fr. Mark, Earl, Linda, Renee, Terry, Debbie, Keith, Randy and Gregory. Numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.

Visitation for Larry will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th St. (159th St.), Lockport with funeral services at 6:00pm with Deacon Rob Weierman officiating. Interment will be private.
