Arthur E. Jackson, 73, of Enfield, loving husband of Marieta "Rita" (Poulin) Jackson, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Arthur was born April 24, 1941, in Hartford, the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Doro (Flint) Jackson. Arthur proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired in 2002 after 37 years in the experimental testing department at International Fuel Cells in South Windsor. Upon retiring he and Rita moved to Maine and returned back to the Enfield community in 2011. Arthur was an exceptional woodworker and crafted magnificent creations. He enjoyed golfing, target shooting, photography, and boating.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is also survived by three children, Daniel E. Jackson and Steven M. Jackson both of Enfield and Deborah L. Ahlquist, and her husband, Jeffrey, of East Hartland; a granddaughter, Amanda Ahlquist; a brother, James H. Jackson; aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arthur was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Tromley.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, June 16, 2014, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow with military honors in Hazardville Cemetery.
