Joseph A. Curulli, 88, of Suffield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center.

Born in Calabria, Italy, to the late Joseph and Teresa (Sarafino) Curulli, he was a longtime resident of Suffield. Joe served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was a decorated World War II veteran. He was a member of the Elks Lodge on Tiffany Street in Springfield and a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Springfield. Joe was owner and operator of Enfield Auto Trim & Glass for many years, where he worked alongside his son.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise Curulli of Suffield; his son, Thomas Curulli, and his wife, Norma, of Enfield; his loving granddaughter, Melissa Curulli of Enfield; sister-in-law, Norma Donahue, and her husband, Robert, of Suffield; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joseph's memory to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 Williams St., Springfield, MA 01105.
