Michael A. "Mike" Cassello, 49, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Hartford, the beloved son of Nancy (Lanou) Cassello and the late Dominick "Mickey" Cassello. Mike was a United States Navy veteran and was employed at Staples for many years.

Besides his mother, he leaves a brother, Dominick Cassello III of South Windsor; a sister, Karen Cassello of Vernon; and a nephew, Petty Officer 2nd Class in the United States Navy, Vincent M. Parker, and his wife, Katherine, stationed in Virginia; two aunts, Dolores Baranski and Patricia Cassello, both of Newington; and several cousins. He also leaves his devoted girlfriend, Susan Holmes of Manchester. Michael will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.

A calling hour will be held from noon to 1 p.m. just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's memory to the DeQuattro Community Cancer Center of Manchester Hospital, 100 Haynes St., Manchester CT 06040.
