Ralph Ronald "Ronnie" Parizek, a lifelong resident of Willington, entered peacefully into eternal life Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, surrounded by his family.

Ronnie, 80, was the loving husband of Carol (Couchevitz) Parizek. Born on April 5, 1933, in Stafford Springs, Ronnie was the son of Ralph and Amelia (Hipsky) Parizek. He was the beloved father of two, grandfather of three, and uncle, friend, and inspiration to many. Ronnie served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict with 28 combat missions in the 307th Bomb Group/Wing, 371st Squadron as a CFC (Central Fire Control) airman in the B-29 aircraft stationed at the Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan, working to preserve America's freedoms. He was a realtor with Parizek Realty for many years. He was a member of Corporal Henry Toberman VFW Post 938 of Willington, member of the Connecticut Trappers Association, past president of the Vernon Board of Realtors, vice president of the Willington Cemetery Association, and was a justice of the peace since 1965. He married the love of his life, Carol, on June 13, 1964, and they were fortunate enough to have been together for almost 50 years. They later welcomed two sons, Donald and Jody, into their family. His sons meant the world to him, and he was very proud of them. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman and loved to spend time hunting and fishing on his property in Willington with family and friends. He was the loving "Papa" to his three cherished grandchildren, Skyley Rose, Chase Alexander, and Mitchell Adam. He loved spending time with them and watching them swim in the pond at his house. He always knew how to make them laugh.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; two sons, Donald Parizek and his wife, Maureen, and Jody Parizek, all of Willington. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Skyley, Chase, and Mitchell Parizek of Willington. Ronnie also leaves behind his three siblings, Evelyne Parizek of Willington, Harriette Donaldson of Oakton, Va., and Richard Parizek and his wife, Estelle, of State College, Pa.; as well as many nieces and nephews, Deborah Lowman, Beth Waddell, K.
