Ralph S. Azinger, 82, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013.

Azinger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean; four sons, Jeff (Carol) Gaudino of Memphis, Tenn., Joe (Rhonda) Gaudino of Tallahassee, Fla., Paul (Toni) Azinger of Bradenton, and Jef Azinger of Sarasota; and grandchildren, Sarah Jean (Tim) Collins, Michael Gaudino, Josie Azinger, Andy Azinger, and Katherine Gaudino. He also leaves behind his brother, Bob (Janet) Azinger of Louisville, Ky.; and sister, Ruth Ann (Roger) Preston of Simsbury.

Azinger was a 20-year U.S. Air Force combat veteran serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal for service in Vietnam. He was extremely loyal to his country and the American flag. He also had a great love of the game of golf and instilled that passion in all of his sons.

A private military service for family will be held in Sarasota.
