Timothy J. Provencher, 75, of Enfield, loving husband of Barbara (Bourgeoise) Provencher, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2014, at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

Born in Thompsonville, he was the son of the late Edward and Olivia (Patrevita) Provencher. He graduated from Enfield High School in 1957 where he was co-captain of the baseball, basketball, and football teams. Tim was a devoted coach of several girls softball and basketball teams, a member of the Enfield Elks Club, and the Grey's Athletic Club. He was inducted into the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. Tim served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Stanadyne prior to owning his own painting and home improvement company for 20 years. Tim was an avid antique car and truck enthusiast and enjoyed restoring his 1928 Dodge truck. He loved fishing, bowling, and playing sports. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and UConn Huskies. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

His family and friends were blessed to have him in their lives. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him or knew him.

Besides his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his loving family, daughter, Donna Wehr and husband, Peter, of Ellington; son, Timothy Provencher Jr. and wife, Adreanna, of Woodland Hills, Calif.; daughter, Sandra Jordan and husband, Mark, of Enfield; daughter, Kerry Sweetman and husband, Tim, of Enfield; daughter, Beth Margolius and husband, David, of West Hartford; grandchildren, Robert Wehr, Justin, Parker, and Jack Provencher, Emily and Mollie Sweetman, and Benjamin Margolius.
