Alice Ann Mulder PLEASANT PRAIRIE Alice Ann Mulder, 70, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2012 at the Lauer Adult Family Home. She was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Herman and Bessie (Rae) Mulder on June 9, 1942. Alice lived at the Shephard's Home in Union Grove for over 25 years since the time of her mother's passing. She thrived at the Shephard's Home and was very involved in Peace Work until she retired in 2007. Alice loved hamburgers and arts and crafts. She created many latch hook rugs and embroidery projects. Watching videos and shopping were two favorite past times. Alice was a participant in the Special Olympics and competed in walking, bocci ball, and bowling. Alice brought joy to all who met her. She freely gave out hugs and was giving of her love to everyone she knew. Alice is survived by her siblings, Billy (Nita) Mulder, Fred Mulder, Barbara (Warren) Caskey, Rose DeFaut, and her brother-in-law, Don Nelson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Bessie Mulder; her siblings, Laura Nelson, Pearl (Bill) DeFaut, and Sandra Mulder. Visitation for Alice will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Racine Bible Church from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:30 am. Private burial will take place on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Graceland Cemetery. The family would like to extend heartfelt Thanks to her caregivers, especially Jeff and Jeanne Lauer, for their loving and compassionate care of Alice over the last six months; you made her feel at home. The Shephard's Home was her loving home for so many years and the family has great appreciation for all of the staff who nurtured and loved Alice throughout her life.
