KENOSHA - Anthony M.”Tony” Tenuta, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by his family Born, April 26, 1921, in Kenosha, WI. The son of the late Mercurio and Sylvia (Muoio) Tenuta. He was a lifelong resident, educated in local schools. In later years he and his wife spent their winters in Arizona. On August 28, 1942 he entered the United States Army during World War II. On April 25, 1944 at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Racine he married Mae Falbo. He was a mechanic for SC Johnson in Racine for over 33 years, retiring in 1986. Following his retirement he continued working on the cars of his family and friends, well in to his 80’s. A member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Italian American Men’s Society and Roma Lodge of Racine. Surviving are his wife of almost 70 years; one daughter, Sharon (David) Manka of Kenosha; 1 brother; Joseph (Marge) Tenuta; 4 sisters, Gilda Conti, Jessie (Robert) Paulson, Rose Andrews, Louise (Alfredo) Greco; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Debbie) Manka and Michele(Larry) Martin; 5 great grandchildren, Izabella, Hailey & Ava Manka, Gianna & Mayli Martin. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Sam and George & Frank Tenuta; a sister, Minnie Schuppert; 4 great grandchildren; Elise Marie, Ella Blu, Maya Grace and Lawrence Martin. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday, January 11th at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 9:00 a.m. Mass Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
