RACINE — Enzo H. Lucarelli, age 89, passed away on Saturday morning, June 14, 2014 at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Enzo was born in Racine on February 27, 1925, son of the late Henry and Ida (née: Guazzaroni) Luca- relli. Enzo was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School "Class of 1943". During World War II, he proudly served in the US Navy while stationed in the South Pacific. This past year he and his daughter Christine went on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to Washington D.C. commemorating his service. On April 17, 1948 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Enzo was united in marriage to the love of his life, Delia Luchetta. In his younger years, he was a city bus driver, and later was employed with the City of Racine Public Works for twenty one years until his retirement in 1987. Enzo was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Roma Lodge, the PT Boaters, American Legion and VFW. He loved playing softball in the summer and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed his neighbors at Fountain Hills and his time volunteering there. Enzo was a loving and devoted husband and family man who will be dearly missed. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty six years, Delia; children, Christine (Dave) Regen- fuss, Ronald (Larysa) Lucarelli, Robert (Pam) Lucarelli, Cheryl (Paul) Carlson; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Debbie Yocco and Linda Patierno; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Enzo was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Linda, sister, Alice (Larry) Hansen, step brother, Fred Yocco, and step sister, Adeline (Larry) Wenzel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St, Wednesday, June 18, 2014, 10:30 a.m. Interment with full Military Honors will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Hwy C, Town of Dover. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (Roma Lodge service at 6:00 p.m.) and at the church Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Paralyzed Veterans, the VFW Post 1391 or the Wounded Warrior Project have been suggested.
