BURLINGTON - Jerry L. Himebauch, 66, passed away tragically on July 23, 2012. He was born September 1, 1945 to William 'Ken' and Ella (Lightfield) Himebauch. Jerry married Terri Carroll on April 10, 2004. Jerry worked as a patrolman for the Walworth County Highway Department for 19 years. He was proud to be a volunteer fire fighter for the Lyons Fire Department and served as Assistant Chief and Lieutenant during his 30 plus years with the department. Jerry also worked for Stohl's catering. Jerry's favorite past time was watching Nascar. He enjoyed spending time with Terri at their trailer in Baraboo. Jerry was a loving father and doting grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Jerry will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness, and his passion for helping others. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Terri; his children, Mark Allen (Mellissa) Himebauch and Kimberly Catherine (Nicholas) Peter; his step-children, Amy Lee Peterson, Crystal Rose Lewandowski, Lee Jacob Gaertner, and Diana Jean Gaertner; his grandchildren, Jason Peter, Nicholas Peter, Jr., Ryan Peter, Madeline Himebauch, Isabella Himebauch, Destiny Higdon, and Grace Tidwell; as well as many other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held at Lakeland Community Church on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The memorial service officiated by Pastor Buck will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at the Spring Prairie Cemetery.
