RACINE - Norma Jean Church- Fergus, Age 84, passed away Sunday February 9, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital. She was born Jan 29, 1930 to Frank Miller and Margaret Connevey in Allegheny County, PA. On April 27, 1991 she was united in marriage to the late Ivan W. Fergus at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Union Grove. Following their marriage they resided in Racine. Norma was a former member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. She enjoyed making floral arrangements. More than anything she loved spending time with and caring for her family. Norma is survived by her children; Linda( Bob) Cannon of Burlington, Patty Vanswol of Burlington, Tess (Gordie) Mierow of Racine, Gloria (Dave) Heebsh of Burlington, Bonnie Woodward of Kenosha, Brenda (Harold) Jackson of Racine, Bruce Church of Erin, WI. Brian (Renee) Church of Rochester and Kevin (Cindy) Church of Battle Ground WA. She is further survived by 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Ivan. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials be made to the American Breast Cancer Society or the . Norma’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the second floor - 2C at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital All Saints for all their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Thursday February 13, 2014 at 7:00PM at the Polnasek-Daniels Family Funeral Home with Pastor Cash Myers officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home. Private entombment will be held at West Lawn Cemetery.
