RACINE - Robert Dean Walker, 93, died on Sunday, May 11th 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Born to Homer and Faye Walker (nee: Parr) on March the 3rd 1921. Robert served in the Army Air Core as one of the last remaining survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack. Robert attended Columbia University in New York on the GI Bill and completed is masters in chemistry at the University of Illinois at the University of Illinois in Champaign. He went on to a successful career in chemistry as a silicone specialist in the medical products industry with General Electric and then Moxness Products in Racine where he retired in 1984. Robert married Helen Ruth Jenkins Dec 14. 1949 and fathered fraternal twins on September 7, 1951. Surviving are his daughter Connie Feest and son Stephen Walker. Also survived by his three granddaughters Faye Marie Walker , Zoe Claire Walker and Lydia Anne Walker, and by two much loved nephews, Jerry Higgins (Dee) and Harold (PeeWee) Higgins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance, especially to Heidi Dissmore,and Mohammed Gohari, who have become a second family to us.
