CALEDONIA - Robert “Bob” Lochowitz, 51, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 5, 2014. Bob was born in Racine on August 8, 1962, the son of David and Jo Anne (nee: Phelps) Lochowitz. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1980”, continuing his education obtaining an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice in 1987. Bob was initially employed in Madison with the Wisconsin State Capital Police Department, furthering his law enforcement career with an accreditation as a Wisconsin Police Officer and a graduate of Wisconsin State Patrol Academy. He proudly served his home town area with the Caledonia Police Department in January of 1990, retiring in October of 2013. Bob was united in marriage to Shirley (nee: Michels) in November of 1996, the marriage later dissolved in July of 2009. Bob is survived by his daughter, Chasity “Chas”, parents, David and Jo Anne Lochowitz of Fairfield, Arkansas and his former wife, Shirley. Bob is further survived by other relatives, many dear friends and fellow law enforcement officials. He was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis Catholic Church, 13207 Hwy. G on Thursday April 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Danczyk officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until mass time at 1 p.m. Bob will be laid to rest next to his brother at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy #32 following mass. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Bob in a special way may direct memorials to the family to establish a college fund to further Chasity’s education.
