RACINE - Thomas F. Maloney, age 76 of Racine, died on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care All Saints-St. Mary’s. Born in Rhinelander, WI on December 15, 1937, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Eternicka) Maloney. In 1961, he moved to Racine. From July 8, 1955 until his honorable discharge on January 31, 1958, he honorably served in the U.S. Army. On October 28, 1967 in Racine, he was united in marriage to Nora Jespersen. For over 20 years, Tom was employed as a machinist with Dumore Corporation. He then was employed at Multi Products for over ten years. Tom was a walking fanatic and he liked to walk everywhere. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nora Maloney; his five children, Alan (Nancy) Larsen, Norine Young, David Larsen, Debra (Richard) Okon and Mark Maloney; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters Rose Hoefs and Ellen Jenkins; many loving nieces and nephews which include his special nephew, Mike Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Eddie Maloney. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. A visitation for Tom will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care for the special care they provided to Tom.
