AUBURN — Earl F. Patrick, 82, of Auburn died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Patrick had worked as a salesman for Huser Paul Co., Inc.
He was past commander and life member of American Legion Post 97 in Auburn and was also a past 4th District Commander Department of Indiana. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 566 and Elks Lodge 1978 both in Auburn.
Mr. Patrick served his country in the U.S .Navy as an aviation mechanic from 1950-1954 and received the National Defense and Good Conduct badges.
He was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Parker, Ind., the son of Delma and Hilda Patrick. He married Virginia Picker in Auburn on July 27, 1957. She preceded him in death in 1992.
Surviving are two brothers and sister-in-laws, Ervin A. and MaryAnn Patrick of Longwood, Fla.,, and Keith S. and Linda Sexton-Patrick of Ashville, N.C.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, JoAnn Simton of Orlando, Fla., LindaLue McCreary of Fort Wayne and Nancy and Ted Jacobs of Katy, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Oberlin; and two brothers-in-law, Bob McCreary and Gean Simton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Pinnington-McComb Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main St., Auburn. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy and American Legion Post 97, Auburn.
Visitation will also be held Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are to the DeKalb Humane Society.
