FORT WAYNE — Karl S. Biedenweg, Ph.D., 61, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Born in Fort Wayne, Karl was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War era, a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Fremont Moose Lodge.
He was a professor of business who retired from Blackburn College in 2011. Previously he worked for Culver Stockton College, Tri State University, and Indiana Business College.
Surviving are his son, Joseph Robert Biedenweg of Fremont; a son, Benjamin Karl Biedenweg of Portland, OR; a brother, Baron R. (Diane) Biedenweg of Angola; a brother, Douglas A. Biedenweg of Bracey, VA; and his former spouse, Janet L. Swan of Carlinville, Ill.
Karl was preceded in death by parents, Robert O. and Louise M. (Boyd) Biedenweg, and a brother, William G. Biedenweg. Funeral service is at 11 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2014, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
