KENDALLVILLE — Ronald Wayne Bryie, age 51, of Kendallville, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mr. Bryie was born in Kendallville, Indiana, on August 25, 1962, to the late Jesse William Bryie and Nancy Ellen (Easterday) Bryie.
He graduated from East Noble High School in 1980 and Purdue University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked his way through college as a meat cutter at the Big Blue Market in Kendallville.
On September 19, 1992, he married Lynda Sue Kingrey in Auburn.
Ron was a process engineer with Rathburn Tool and Manufacturing in Auburn for 27 years. He was involved for many years with the Gas Light Playhouse where he was the lighting technician and helped with stage construction.
Ron loved woodworking, engineering and constructing home projects and model railroads. He was a NASCAR and NFL fan and he attended First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Bryie of Kendallville; a sister, Judy (Thomas) Day of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Roger Bryie of Corinth, Mississippi, and Randy (Nancy) Bryie of Camarillo, California; two nieces, Antoinette "Toni" (Steve) Arquette of Cincinnati and Karen (Christopher) Fisher of Cincinnati; and a nephew, Brett (Erin) Day of Bellevue, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Hite Funeral Home. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Thomas Clothier. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.
Preferred memorials may be made to American Cancer Association.
