ANGOLA — Tony Gene Armey, 62, of Angola passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born September 28, 1951, in Angola to Robert L. and Beverly J. (Walsh) Armey. He married Karen Ann Plewak on February 29, 1992.
He was a carpenter with Local #232 and a millwright with Local #1076 for several construction companies throughout northern Indiana.
He was a member of the Fremont American Legion Cass Post 257, VFW George Anspaugh Post Angola, Angola Moose Lodge, Angola Elks Lodge and a 33rd Degree Mason.
Tony is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Mike Jordan of Angola; a stepdaughter Stacey Gibson of Indianapolis; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Ann Armey of Pleasant Lake, Mike and Carlotta Armey of Edon, Ohio, and Rocky and Becky Armey of New Haven; six grandchildren, Anna K. Jordan, Abigail M. Jordan, Steven Gibson, Ashley Gibson, Heather Gibson and Catherine Gibson, and Roe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Karen A. Armey, on November 9, 2010.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Ind.
