GODDARD - Arnold, Alfred E., 80, passed away Feb. 10, 2014. He was born March 25, 1933, in Parsons, Kan. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a Wichita Police Officer, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, U.S. Army, Frankfurt, Germany, and Korean War veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Mason Arnold; wife, Laura; son, Alfred Jr.; brother, Wellington of New Braunfels, Texas, Frank and Robert Arnold of Wichita; Pet, Toto (Cairn Terrier). He is survived by his daughters, Katrina Arnold-Gillenwater (Larry) of Wichita, Gina Arnold of Belen, N.M.; sister, Sue Huenergardt (Clarence) of Lubbock, Texas; brothers, Dail of Holiday, Fla., John Arnold of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren, Cole Gillenwater (Melissa) of Wichita, Joshua Potter (Shayna) of Suttercreek, Calif.; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; beloved stray cat, Tiger Ray. A special thank you to Dr. Roger Evans cardiologist with Cypress Heart, Pastor Don Waite and the Congreation at Westwood Presbyterian Church. Private family services will be held at a later date.
