Chambers, Ann, age 79, retired medical receptionist, died Monday, February 18, 2013. Ann was born March 2, 1933 in Mangum, OK, the daughter of Edgar and Anna (Olive) Roach. Ann was an extremely involved volunteer with Starkey Inc. and the Special Olympics. She loved her family and friends and was a caregiver to all. Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Chuck Chambers; a sister, Robbie Barrett and a brother, Ross Roach. Loved ones left to her memory include: Dan Kiser; children, Becky (Stan) Rankin, Lee Ann Nixon, Robert (Shawnia) Chambers; step-children, Daniel Kiser II, Marie Rupe, Connie Haggard, Bonnie Dugan, Jennifer Page; brother, Charles (Martha) Roach; grandchildren, Heather (Shane) Rankin, Chas, Carson, and Camryn Chambers; numerous step-grandchildren and other extended family. Celebration of Life Memorial Reception for Ann's 80th Birthday will be held Saturday, March 2, from 2 to 4 at Arc of Sedgwick County, 2919 W. 2nd Street N., Wichita. The family requests casual dress. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Starkey Inc. and Arc of Sedgwick County, in care of Affinity All Faiths Mortuary, 2310 E. Lincoln, Wichita, KS 67211. A special thank you to Amedisys Hospice Care, Reflection Living, Via Christi Senior Behavioral Health, and numerous other care givers that were a part of Ann's life in her later years.
