Brown, J. Hugh, 91, retired owner and operator of Brown Plumbing of Wichita, WWII Navy Veteran and avid gardener, passed away on March 21, 2014. He is preceded in death by wife Frances P. (Fitch) in 2002; parents, Flava and Mary Mae (Kiser) Brown and one brother and sister. He is survived by son Don (Marilyn) Brown of Newton, daughter Karen (Tim) Page of Hesston, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Viewing will be 12 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 27, with family receiving from 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel.
