HAYSVILLE - Cornett, Jacob Harvey, 97, Navy Veteran and Retired McConnell Air Force Base Heating and Air Conditioning Technician passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at home. Harvey was born on August 30, 1916, in Wayham, Missouri to Sarah and John Cornett. He married Betty M. Pruitt on November 28, 1946 in Eldon, Missouri. Harvey was an outdoorsman and a teller of tall tales. He was preceded in death by his son Steve and his daughter Wanda. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 67 years, Betty M. Cornett; son Robert (Stephanie), daughter-in-law Carol Wiliamson (Jerry); grandchildren Christy Winn (Terry), June Saxton, Regina Turner (Josh), Tasha and Tiffany Cornett, Brandon Shellenberger; Great-grandchildren Mikaela, Ellie, Ian, Isaiah, Isaac, and Cheyenne. Visitation 1-8 with family present from 6-8 P.M. Friday Jan 17, services 1:00 P.M. Saturday Jan 18, both at Smith Family Mortuary Derby, 1415 N. Rock Rd.
