Rodney, Jay Samuel, 91, died Saturday, July 26, 2014. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp., Fifth Division and was a survivor of Iwo Jima March 26, 1946. His brothers, Glenn Rodney and Earl Rodney also served in the United States Military. Preceded in death; wife of 65 years, Betty Marie Rodney; grandson, Clinton Shulda. Survivors; daughters, Rebecca (Dewey) Shulda, Cynthia (Lloyd) Gilmore; son Jay (Sherry) Rodney II; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Glenn Rodney, Earl (Toni) Rodney. He was also a member and elder of Countryside Christian Church, American Legion Post 406 Andover, DAV Chapter 4. Viewing and visitation Wednesday 5-7 p.m.; Funeral Thursday 10 a.m., both at Old Mission Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wounded Warrior Project or Countryside Christian Church.
