John H. Cutter

Death Notice

BEL AIRE - Cutter, John H., 68, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kan. He was born Jan. 23, 1945 in Dodge City, Kan., the son of Kathryn (Bestgen) and Ernest Cutter. He is a graduate of Sharon Springs High School. On Feb. 27, 1965, he and Sherryl Hallagin were married, and for the last 40 years they have made their home in Bel Aire. On Feb. 9, 1972 he was honorably discharged from his service to his country in the US Navy following a year of deployment in Vietnam. He was an avionics technician at Hawker Beechcraft for 38 years and was a member of the VFW-Lowell Cole Post 1133. John was an avid bike rider, tennis player, and wakeboarder. Preceded in death by parents and son Jeffrey Cutter. Survivors: wife, Sherryl Cutter of Bel Aire; three children, Bradley Cutter, Darian Rohr both of Wichita, Kim (Jason) Jones of Ocala, Fla.; six grandchildren, Talya, Brayden, Sorcha, Karis, Taelyn, Easton; sister, Carol (Richard) Conley of Sharon Springs. He was laid to rest at the Goodland Cemetery on May 10 with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW Post 1133, c/o Koons Funeral Home, 211 N.
