Drescher, Norbert Paul, 86, retired Wichita Ponca Canvas Products accountant and office manager, passed away peacefully Friday, July 4, 2014. Paul served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois; son, Joseph; parents, Norbert and Anna (Appelhans) Drescher; sister, Anna (Charles) Childers; brothers, George and John Drescher; brother-in-law, Andy Anderson. Survived by sons, Russell (Carol), Burden; Rian, Wichita; daughters, Amelia (Bill) Ellison, Wichita, Dorene (Wayne) Todd, Watonga, OK, Frances (George) Rauh, Wichita; daughter-in-law, Denise Drescher; sister, Dorothy Anderson, Grove, OK; sister-in-law, Regina Drescher, Moline, IL; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; in-laws, Max (Marge) VanLeeuwen, Wichita, Charles VanLeeuwen, St. Paul, KS; Isabel VanLeeuwen, Dayton, OH, Lorene (Lee) Klein, Wichita. Rosary 7pm, Thurs, July 10 and Funeral Mass 10am, Fri, July 11, 2014, both at St. Jude Catholic Church. Memorial to St. Jude Catholic Church, 3130 Amidon, Wichita, KS 67204.
