Obituary | Condolences

It is with much sadness that we must announce the passing away of our most beloved mother and matriarch, Annette Rapaport in the early morning hours of May 30, 2013. She passed away peacefully and comfortably in her sleep. She had celebrated her 79th birthday 2 weeks prior. She has ecstatically rejoined her beloved husband Robert, who has been keeping a cushy cloud seat next to him warm for nearly 18 years. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Sunday, June 2, 2013 in the Yukon Chapel at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 5529 Ditzler in Raytown, MO. Burial to follow. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend Annette was a holocaust survivor who first came to live in Kansas City with her brother, parents and grandmother at the young age of 13, having barely escaped while hiding out in Europe during WW II. She met and married her sweetheart, Robert, started their family and lived in Kansas City until 1969, when they moved East. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Debbie Rapaport, who live in Helena, Montana; her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Tricia Rapaport, who reside in Palos Verdes Estates, California; her daughter and daughter's life-partner, Gail Rapaport and Matt Steffens of Basking Ridge, New Jersey; her daughter Amy Baskin of Medford, New Jersey; her brother and sister-in-law Herb and Nancy Kohn of Kansas City, and her six grandchildren, Jason Rapaport, Brian Rapaport, Aaron Rapaport, SarahGrace Rapaport, Jeremy Baskin and Andrew Baskin.
