1922 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Beverly L. Rawlings, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on March 31, 2014 at St. Lukes South Hospital in Overland Park. Beverly was born on October 16, 1922 in Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of Frank Paul and Esta Guillaume. The family relocated to the Kansas City area and Beverly graduated from Westport High School. She attended Purdue University, Kansas City Junior College, and Kansas City University. She met the love of her life, Charles Robert Rawlings, in high school and they married July 19, 1944 at the Chapel of Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. Beverly leaves behind her husband Charles Robert, three sons, Robert, William, David and his wife Kim, three grandchildren, Marsha, Nick, and Ally, and two great- grandchildren, Carson and Cameron. She was very proud that her three sons, and grandson were all Eagle Scouts, and that all her children and grandchildren had completed col- lege degrees or are in their final years of completing college degrees. Beverly worked for the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools for 21 years as an archivist in the student records department. She also was a member of the Athenaeum Women's Organization, Johnson County Young Matrons, Leawood Country Club, Brookridge Country Club, and the Village Presbyterian Church. She and 'Bob' had many wonderful adventures traveling to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East together, and visiting most of the 48 states and Canada on road trips together with the boys during their school years. Beverly's wishes were to be cremated, with a private family service to be held at a later date.
