DONALD A. BIEGER Obituary
Donald A. Bieger, 86, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away April 21, 2014, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Don was born July 3, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from St. Louis University in 1950, moving to Kansas City shortly afterwards to start a 37 year career with Abbott Labs. In November of 1950, Don married Jeanne O'Gorman. He also proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Don is survived by his wife, Jeanne Bieger; son, Jack Bieger (Judy); daughter, Mary Bieger; grandchildren, Lisa Staton (Dave) and Andrew Bieger; great grandson, Tristan Staton; sister-in-law, Dorothy Armbruster; brother-in-law, Tom O'Gorman (Fran) and many, many nieces and nephews who loved Uncle Don. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206. Private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Breakthrough, 3039 Troost Ave., KCMO, 64109 and/or Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Rd, KCMO 64138.
