Obituary Condolences

Eleanor Tarson, 96, passed away September 28, 2013,at Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kan. A Celebration of her Life will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Lakeview Village, in the Southridge Building, 5th Floor, TreeTop Room; 14001 W. 92nd St., Lenexa, KS 66215. Eleanor was an amazing and accomplished woman who put nothing before family and was instantly loved by everyone she met. She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in St. Louis, Mo., but lived her entire life in Kansas City. She graduated from Paseo High School, and then received an undergraduate degree in accounting from Northwestern University. She was in the first graduating class to receive an MBA from UMKC in 1969. Eleanor proudly worked at TWA for more than 40 years and traveled the world over with family and friends. After retiring from TWA, "Aunt Sis" spent many years volunteering at the Corinth Branch of the Johnson County Library, Kaleidoscope, and the Senior Barn Players and was very active in the TWA Retirees Club. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Sam and Maxine Tarson, and her two beloved nieces and their families, Rebecca and Ron Guthrie, Alison and Scott; and Susan and Michael Lally, Katherine, Michael Jr., and Meghan.
