1928 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Harry H. Killmar was born on June 18, 1928, and died July 6, 2014. He was raised in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated from Roosevelt High School, where he was captain of his district-champion football team and senior class president. Harry married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Moehlenbrock, on May 27, 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Harry and Margaret made Overland Park their home in 1959. Harry was self employed as a manufacturer's representative in the floor covering industry. The family enjoyed camping, canoeing and skiing. Harry also loved car racing, playing golf and he had a wonderful green thumb. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Leslie Butler of Louisville, Ky., and husband Richard and their son, Zack; son, Kurt Killmar of Overland Park, Kan., and wife Jonette and their children, Morgan and Brock; and his sister, Marion Malone. A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, at the Village Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Village Church Food Pantry or City Union Mission.
