There he moved ahead two grades and graduated from high school at the age of 16. He later joined the Marine Corps ending his tour as Sergeant. He went on to work at Folgers in KCMO where he met the love of his life, Millie. He and his family were members of St. John the Baptist for many years. His faith was a constant in his life. Bob was a licensed electrician journeyman. He was employed at the Union Pacific Railroad in KCK, the Bendix Corporation in KCMO, and General Motors, Fairfax in KCK, where he retired as skilled trades general foreman.
