ROBERTA CARMACK Obituary
Roberta "Bobbie" Carmack, 57, of Kansas City, Kan., passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014, at home. Bobbie was born in Kansas City, Kan., on Sept. 5, 1956, to Archie "Bill" and Josephine A. Carmack. She was a graduate of Washington High School and obtained an Associates Degree in 2011 from Kansas City Kansas Community College. Bobbie loved working with children and was employed with both the KCK public schools and KCKCC for many years. Bobbie was a devoted member of Grinter Chapel United Methodist Church. There she was a member of the United Methodist Women, Laura Dell Circle, and was a Sunday school teacher for the children. Bobbie was preceded by her parents, Archie "Bill" and Josephine Carmack, and brother, William Carmack. She is survived by a sister, Vanessa (Larry) Dunn, brothers, Jimmy Carmack, Roger (Linda) Carmack, and friend, Gwen (Richard) Brown. Bobbie also had many nieces and nephews that she was loved by. Bobbie had asked to be cremated. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 5010 Parallel Pkwy., Kansas City, Kan. Visitation will be one hour before the service also at the Church. The family would like to thank all of Bobbie's nurses and doctors that have helped her in her 10-year battle with breast cancer.
