Aloysius G. Al Bugalecki
1920 - 2013
Aloysius G. Al Bugalecki, 93, of Kenosha, passed away suddenly, surrounded by his family on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at United Hospital System Kenosha Campus.
Born on Jan. 25, 1920, in Wild Rose, Wis., he was the son of the late Andrew and Valeria (Jardinski) Bugalecki. As a small child, he moved to Kenosha with his family and attended St. Casimir Parochial School, Washington Junior High and was a graduate from Kenosha High School.
He served our country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. Al was a Medic and was stationed in London.
On May 17, 1947, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to Helen Veronica Simo.
He was employed as a Forman with Anaconda American Brass for 40 years.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the P.L.A.V. James Smelcer Post #34. Al loved to travel and especially liked Florida. He adored his family and cherished the time they spent together.
Al is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen; his children, Carol (Mauro) Lenci of Kenosha, Susan Walker of Kenosha and Michael (Christine) Bugalecki of Sun City, Ariz.; his siblings, Thaddeis Bugalecki and Constance Machara; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Leonard, Harold, Donald, Edward and Henry Bugalecki; and three sisters, Victoria Maci, Laura Sopscic and Doris Bugalecki.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2223 51st Street. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
