Dale F. Stewart

Dale F. Stewart, 72, of Kenosha died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at United Hospital System, Kenosha Campus.

Born on Dec. 12, 1941, in Menominee, Mich., he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Stewart.

Dale attended both Menominee and Kenosha schools.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War entering the service on Oct. 21, 1964, and received his honorable discharge on Oct. 19, 1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star. Following his active duty, Dale served with the Naval Reserves for twenty years.

On Jan. 28, 1965, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Dale was united in marriage to Lucrezia Locante.

He was employed for thirty years with the Frost Co. until its closing at which time he became employed with Cumberland Packaging from where he retired.

Dale was a huge fan of California sports teams. He enjoyed all kinds of music including Frank Sinatra and Sam Cook. Dale was an avid collector of baseball and football cards. He will be remembered for his love of family and strong work ethic.

Dale is survived by his wife Lucrezia; four children, Susan (Rick) Hutson, Michelle Stewart, Michael (Shadia) Stewart, and Lisa Stewart; seven grandchildren and two brothers, Patrick and James Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Entombment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation for Dale will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
