1953 - 2012

Dan R. Anderson, 58, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at St. Catherines Medical Center Campus in Pleasant Prairie.

Born on Dec. 20, 1953, in Eau Claire, Wis., he was the son of Clarence and Marjorie (Tarbox) Anderson, Jr. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he attended St. Casimir Grade School and St. Joseph High School.

From Feb. 15, 1974, until Jan. 13, 1978, he was in the United States Marine Corp. serving overseas during the Vietnam War. He received The Rifle Expert Badge, Letter of Appreciation, National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.

Dan was employed as an accomplished Glass Blower making Neon Signs.

A member of the American Legion, Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He loved the outdoors and was skilled at making fishing lures and fishing gear.

He is survived by his very loving mother, Marjorie Anderson of Kenosha; his four siblings, Gerald Anderson of Racine, Vicki (Mark) Pellicori of Kenosha, Babette (Richard) Falcon of Kenosha and Sheri (Scott) Stevens of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; aunt Elsie Cardinahl; aunt Mary Ann Ciappetta; uncle Teddy Tarbox; along with many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would to extend a special thank you to St. Catherines ICU, Dr. Asif Anwar, Chaplin Josh, Dr. Harley Sobin, nurses Jeff, Liz, Kristine and Linda, and Sandra the Surgical Hostess.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Anderson, Jr., and a sister, Cheryl Anderson at birth.

Prayer services will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. Marys Catholic Church, 7307-40th Avenue, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wis. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Proko Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
