David Wayne Padlock
1956 - 2013
David Wayne Padlock, 57, of Coatsville, Pa., passed away peacefully at his residence Dec. 9, 2013, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous multi-year battle with kidney and liver disease.
Born on July 9, 1956, in Milwaukee, he was the son of Jim and Dianne Padlock, formerly of Kenosha, currently residing in Hot Springs Village, Ark. Educated in Kenosha schools, he graduated from Tremper High School in 1974. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1975 until 1978, spending his entire enlistment in Twentynine Palms, Calif. Upon receiving his honorable discharge he returned to Kenosha where he worked as a 911 dispatcher and then for Kenosha Memorial Hospital. After receiving his bachelors degree from Carthage College, David obtained a job as a buyer at Snap-On Tools.
It was his work as a buyer that introduced him to his future wife, Laura Cassidy Vinci of Pennsylvania. David soon relocated to Pennsylvania where he married Laura and obtained a job as a Production Manager with Endless Pools.
He is survived by three step children, Dean (Maryam), Sara (Brian), and Ian (Shauna); three grandchildren; his parents, Jim and Dianne; three brothers, Alan (Jane), Dennis and James (Colleen); and a sister, Susan Vigansky (Bob).
David was preceded in death by his wife, Laura in 2005.
David was quite the lumberjack, he had seven chain saws! He also loved to do yard work and grew fruit trees and flowers. He had quite the green thumb. He was known as the best brownie maker. David helped out a lot at the fellowship farm; from mowing and burning debris piles to clearing wooded areas and helping at the annual camp. He had a sweet smile and a kind heart.
David will be truly missed. Not a day goes by the we dont think of him. He was so gracious during his last bit of time, inviting everyone to his house 24/7 to pray, visit, share a favorite meal or just to sit and talk with him. He gave us all a gift by sharing in his last days.
