1920 - 2014
Eugene Gianantonio, 93, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at St. Joseph Home.
He was born in Kenosha on Oct. 26, 1920, a son of the late Ernest and Lisetta Frosolono Gianantonio.
He was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High in 1940.
Eugene served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII being stationed in North Africa. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation for 25 years.
He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 1865, Italian American Club and Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving Eugene is his brother-in-law, George Zaionc; two nieces, Debra Zaionc and Patsy Lencioni; and two nephews, William (Sheryl) Zaionc, Joe Lencioni. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Antonio, Henry, and Frederick Gianantonio and four sisters, Theresa Freeman, Rose Lencioni, Elvira Gianantonio and Josephine Zaionc.
A visitation will be held for Eugene on Friday,
March 14 at the Proko Funeral Home from 12 Noon until time of service at 1 p.m. followed by military honors. Interment will be held privately at St. James Cemetery.
