Martha S. Koblenski
1941 - 2013
Martha S. Koblenski, 71, passed away in St. Catherines Medical Center on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on June 18, 1941, the daughter of the late John and Rosanna (nee: Bumba) Streicher.
Martha was a graduate of Warren Township High School. On Oct, 1, 1960, in St. George Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Stanley Koblenski. Martha had been employed by Kohls Food Store for over 18 years. Later, she was a cook at Bose School for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #286 Auxiliary, and the USCW Local.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley; their daughters, Kelly Koblenski, of Kenosha and Peggy McCune, of Elizabeth, Colo.; grandchildren, Kalie and Dakota McCune; three brothers, Thomas Streicher, of Gurnee, Nicholas (Kathy) Streicher, of Silver Lake, Wis., and Michael (Kathy) Streicher, of Gurnee; two sisters, Peggy Flory of Fox Lake, Ill., and Mary Ketchum of Milwaukee; sisters-in-law, Audrey Streicher of Wadsworth, Ill., Janet Streicher, of Gurnee; mother-in-law, Helen Koblenski; sister-in-law, Barb (Bill) Schmitz, all of Kenosha; brother-in-law, Dennis (Sharon) Koblenski of Delafield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Richard, Edward, and William Streicher.
Her memorial mass with be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, in St. Elizabeth Church, the corner of 48th St. and 8th Ave., with Rev. Sean S. Granger officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated memorials be directed to St. Elizabeth Church.
