Michael S. Mike Perry; 51 years old of Trevor, Wis., passed away Wednesday July 17, 2013, at St. Luke Medical Center, Milwaukee, Wis. He was born Jan. 2, 1962, in Kenosha, Wis., the son of Robert and Ruth (McCormack) Perry and is a lifelong resident of Kenosha County. Mike proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Salem United Methodist Church and the Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church, Lake Villa, Ill., and was a member of the Sequoit Masonic Lodge #827 AF&AM and Ducks Unlimited. Mike owned and operated M&M Sealcoating for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Jeopardy, being with his grandkids, playing Santa, and especially giving to and helping others. On July 30, 1983, he married Darlene Brandt in Warrensburg, Mo.
Survivors include his loving wife, of 30 years Darlene; two children, Lauren (Robert) Bell of Wheatland, Wis., and Steven (Kierstin Bird) Perry of Salem, Wis.; three grandchildren, Cameron, Landen, and Kendyl; his mother, Ruth Perry of Wheatland, Wis.; two sisters, Diane Volar of Salem, Wis., and Debbie (Dan) Owczarzak of Cedar Lake, Ind.; and many other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert; in-laws Martin and Jean Brandt and grandparents Jasper and Charlotte McCormack.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday July 22, 2013, at the United Methodist Church 25130 85th. St. Salem, WI 53168. Interment will be 9 a.m. Friday July 26, 2013, in Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Visitation will be held from 2PM until 7PM Sunday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002 and on Monday at church from 9AM until services.
